My 1978 MG-Midget
While cleaning out his garage my fathers 1st cousin "Buddy Marsala" looked at his car and he thought of me for some reason. I haven't seen him since I was about 5 yr.'s old at that time I was 52 years Young. He thought about leaving it in his will to me then he thought I should just give him a call and tell him to come and get it. When he called he wanted to go out and meet for lunch. We met and he mentioned a sport's car and did I have one. Of course I said no and he said that he wanted me to have his car. I did not know what he had or what kind it was as we didn't see or have any contact with each other over the years. I mentioned this to my wife and she said your not bringing a Junker home are you and I didn't know weather is was or not so I took a ride to look at it. When he opened the door I didn't know what to say as it looked pretty clean and in good shape with 50,000 on the OD. He said he hadn't driven it for a few years and that battery was dead. I came back a week later with a flat bed and had it towed home. About a few months later I went and bought a battery and checked out all of the fluids and say that they were all ok so I turned the key and with in a turn of the crank it started up to my surprise. I gave him a call and told him about it and he said that I could have drove it home all it needed was a battery. It was an Great gift from a Great Guy, "Thanks Buddy" I had the best summer in 1998 driving my MG Midget a car that I never knew existed.
