Hello All,
I am a longtime fan of the British sports car and have inhaled my share of Lucas smoke! I currently own a 1959 Lotus Elite series I but, when younger owned a couple of bug eye sprites an Elva IV and my wife had an MGB.
I am a systems design engineer for commercial audio systems focusing mainly on casino facilities.
My wonderful wife Pat and I live in Absecon, NJ and are fortunate to have two great kids. Our son, Nick is a Drexel engineering student and our daughter, Allie is attending the University of the Arts in Philly.
Hope to see you all at the meets and drives.

1959 Lotus Elite Series I
Lotus Elite series I, received in the states in 1959. The Elite is powered by a Coventry Climax 1220 cc engine. It is in what's known as stage II tune which means two Weber 40 dcoe carbs, four branch tuned exhaust manifold, and a .360 cam which delivers about 90hp. It has all independent suspension and all disc brakes. The Elite was one of the most unusual and innovative automotive engineering designs. Conceived by Colin Chapman who was most interested in racing, the Elite is constructed entirely of fiberglass with only a small steel cage bonded into the nose in order to secure the front suspension and motor mounts. This makes the car ultra light weighing in at 1400 lbs.
I have owned 1096 since 1976 and have just completed a 20 month restoration at Ragtops and Roadsters. Please check out the restoration photos at ragtops.com
