I grew up in New England (Connecticut), and British Sports Cars were an important part of the beautiful summer scenery.

When I graduated from college in 1969, I bought my first one, a '60 MGA 1600, and was badly hooked for life, as it would turn out.

Over the years, I graduated to a few MGBs (roadsters and GTs), an MGA Coupe, a Spitfire (whose swing axles gave me my first gray hairs at an awfully early age and taught me a lot about what not to do mid-corner), an MGTF-1500, a TVR Vixen S-1 (Oh my, what a handler), Midget, a Bug Eye Sprite, a TR-3, TR4, and a few TR6s (one of which I still have), and finally one I'd coveted for a long time, a Morgan (which I also still have).

I must say I loved them all (and now wish I could have kept every one of them, even the Spitfire if I'd put camber compensators on those evil swing axles).

My hobby turned into a part-time vocation for several years when I owned and operated a restoration shop in Washington State specializing in our beloved LBCs (as well as other needy examples). Though I am currently without a facility in which to work since moving back to Southern New Jersey last summer (I lived here in the 70's while flying C-141s in the 6th MAS at McGuire), I still enjoy tinkering on whatever I can get my hands on.
